I have Marty Balin's Hearts stuck in my head, and that's a good thing. I'm considering learning a set of songs from that era of popular music (circa 1980-1984, which is when I first started to have favorite songs on the radio), and play a coffee house with them and maybe some original material. My dad has always worked in radio, so I kind of keep track of everything that's happened in my life by which songs were popular at the time. My dad does it too. Both of us really have a knack for remembering years and dates like that. Definitely some Alan Parsons and Hall and Oates will be on the set list.

 Yep, I finally found the motivation to roll back into blogging. I got an email this past Monday, March 31 st from a friend of mine from college, Matt Rogers. He was announcing the release date of his book, which alone was news to me. But the release date was the next day, April 1 st. He had told me a while back that he had written a book and was looking for a publisher, but I hadn't heard anything since. Turns out that the book being released was one he'd written since we last spoke and which details his experiences and reflections on the killings that took place on the Virginia Tech campus, where he is serving as a pastor.
