I have Marty Balin's Hearts stuck in my head, and that's a good thing. I'm considering learning a set of songs from that era of popular music (circa 1980-1984, which is when I first started to have favorite songs on the radio), and play a coffee house with them and maybe some original material. My dad has always worked in radio, so I kind of keep track of everything that's happened in my life by which songs were popular at the time. My dad does it too. Both of us really have a knack for remembering years and dates like that. Definitely some Alan Parsons and Hall and Oates will be on the set list. Samuel's treasure chest Grand Prix car lost in every way. It wasn't slow, but it wasn't fast. It came in 20th for speed and didn't get any accolades otherwise. Big deal! I'm going to Georgia this weekend for my sister's wedding. I'm the photographer and Jenn's playing the piano. She lives in Columbus, which I've never been to, but it's the perfect opportunity to stop in Toccoa to see where the Band of Brothers heroes trained to drop behind enemy lines during World War II. There's a museum there now since the book and TV series gave it so much attention. Currahee! I put the last stick in my garden fence today, finally. I still have a lot of tying to do for it to be finished, but this will keep that dog out that has been trampling my raised beds. I'll post a picture of the completed fence soon. It has taken forever to finish. At the beginning of the project, when I was realizing how much work it was going to require, I would shake my head and say, "What was I thinking?" But since then, I just chugged away and now it's done and I can do more important things like fix the rotten wood on my house.
