Here are some pics of the garden in its current state. I got it all walled-in finally. We've been gone the past two weekends, so it's nice to come home and see how things change in a few days. You know, a watched pot never boils. This morning, I thinned my dill and cilantro, so I'm drying out the dill I pulled, and we'll have the cilantro in salads. In fact, I also pulled two lettuce plants to make room for tomatoes at that end of the bed, and went ahead and transplanted the tomatoes to their final destination. Both the lettuce and spinach are already producing in a more recently planted row of each, so I'm probably not going to have the first plants much longer. The spinach has entered a new phase of its lifespan. I thought they were prolific before, but now they're just covered with leaves. I think it must be like the grand finale at a fireworks show -- lots of leaves for the final whole-plant harvest. Everything else is growing very well. I have zucchini and yellow squash ripening on the vine, so I expect we'll be enjoying that pretty soon. Wish you could smell the fresh dill. Stop by and check it out!
